For any musician, being selected to perform at the BBC Proms is an honour as the Proms are held in high regard. The BBC Proms are well known for their classical musician showcases however, multiple genres of music are being performed.

The Proms have previously hosted some of the worlds greatest Classical and Jazz musicians during the summer long spectacle. The popular event runs for roughly 8 weeks and has been running since 1895.

Rob will be performing during “Prom 57: Swing No End”, which will be presented by British Jazz Singer Clare Teal. The “Swing No End” line up is sold on the BBC Proms website as an eclectic musical performance “From stomps and shuffles to boogie-woogie and blues, from bebop to Latin, this Sunday matinee Prom presents a slice of musical action from the 1930s and 1940s. Two roaring big bands battle against each other, joined by special guests and led by Guy Barker and Winston Rollins.”

Rob Green posted on his Facebook page the full details of his news:

We interviewed Rob a year ago at ‘Y Not Festival’ in Derbyshire. During the set Rob became slightly emotional due to the crowds absolute support of his incredible act and one year on and an even bigger event to play, we can only imagine how Rob’s feeling emotionally. CelebMix is cheering for you Rob!
