We’ve all heard of Robyn, we all know her hits, “With Every Heartbeat,” and, “Dancing On My Own,” and we’ve all been desperately missing her on the music charts lately… But that all looks set to change, as the Swedish singer has just announced the title and release date of her first album in eight years!
That’s right… We will soon be able to have Robyn’s amazing vocals on repeat again when her first full length album in eight whole years is released next month and honestly, we are already counting down the days.
Robin Carlsson, or simply Robyn as we know her, recently took to her Instagram account to surprise her followers with the news that her much anticipated new album will be titled, “Honey,” and that it will drop on 26th October.
Which is next month. Please jump and scream with us.
In the video posted to her social media account, Robyn told fans, “I am on the set for my first music video for this album and I just wanted to tell you in person it’s going to be out really soon. It is called, “Honey,” and I really can’t wait for you to hear it.”
She then went on to reveal, “It’s a personal album and there are so many things that have happened throughout making it that it’s really hard for me to explain in one go. I think the best way is maybe for you to listen to it but, I’m so happy it’s finally done.”
“I hope you like it,” she concluded in the short video, alongside which she wrote the caption, “My new album Honey will be released on the 26th October. Link in bio to sign up to pre-order and pre-save.”

“Honey,” will be Robyn’s first full length album in eight years since her previous body of work, “Body Talks,” which was released back in 2010.
Robyn’s upcoming album comes after she previously released electronic pop hit, “Missing U,” which poses as the LP’s lead single. She also teased the album’s title track at the beginning of 2017 during the closing credits of an episode of Lena Dunham’s hit HBO series, Girls.
“I sent Lena some music I was working on and she picked Honey. It wasn’t ready to be released, but I finished this version for her,” Robyn revealed at the time. “Thank you Lena Dunham for making this TV show that flips my brain like a burger fifteen times every episode… Thank you for asking me to make music for your work.”
Now we don’t know about you but we can’t wait for, “Honey,” to flip our brains like a burger when it is released on 26th October. Flip away, Robyn.
