These Synth Pop Stars from Toronto unveiled the gorgeous music video for their single “Spend The Night”. The track is taken from ROMES’ recently released debut EP Believe, which has seen the Toronto/Irish quartet championed by tastemakers including Noisey and The Guardian – the latter featured the group as their ‘New Band Of The Week’.

The music video is in a stunning black and white theme and was filmed in the band’s own hometown, Toronto. It recently premiered as Q Magazine’s ‘Track Of The Day’, and it’s a glorious synth-infused indie-pop anthem.

Compared to other music videos, “Spend The Night”‘s mv is less polished and professional which offers a great and refreshing experience for the audience. It’s like it was taken by a fan during a live show which was probably the method that the group has used for this video.

The video has nothing special, to be honest. It just features the band performing their music on-stage in their own energetic, lively and electric way. The video is simple and very minimalist which gives the audience the opportunity to enjoy the music itself and the sight of their idols in the video without too much fuss and fancy effects.

ROMES continue to impress music industry royalties and other artists.

The band has previously received Twitter praise from artists including Hozier and Lights for their EP, which has now clocked up well over half a MILLION plays on Spotify alone since its release.

The Believe EP was produced and mixed by Tony Hoffer (Beck, M83, Fitz & The Tantrums) and is a beaming, wide-eyed debut. The title track is a rippling indie-pop anthem, while ‘Tryna Be’ is a delicious slice of irresistible indie-pop, intertwined with groove-laden R&B and stunning electronics. The closing track for Believe, ‘When The Night Comes’, is a glorious pop gem that sparkles with a similar musical dexterity to The 1975.

ROMES have quickly made their mark as one of the most impressive and exciting new bands today, rapidly building a fervent new fanbase with their beautiful sound.
