Seattle based Thai singer/songwriter, director and actress Roskamala has just shared her latest single and music video “Loving Mess” featuring the singer Lia Apa. The song is the latest release off of her upcoming EP truth she told, a candid narrative of the ups and downs in life and how hope and self reflection will lead us to a better future.
“Loving Mess” is best described as an upbeat, bright, pop hit featuring dance-worthy bass, colliding colorful synths and sing-a-long worthy melodies. The catchy and fun song has a deeper meaning though, with the track being about how to accept your own faults and move confidently in the pursuit of love. Roskamala confides, “The irony of the game of love, in this modern world, is everyone has their own baggage. So, it’s not just me in the world that is afraid of love. Everyone protects their hearts as well in their own way. I do hope ” Loving Mess” becomes the angel in our heads for those who have the fear of love.” With the music video, Roskamala again brings the fun with herself as the lead playing a doll-like figure who is assigned to another doll-like man to go on a date by three mysterious figures.
Roskamala is an innovator and creator who touches listeners with every note. Her lyrics are witty and relatable, passionate and narrative, bringing attention to the topics many of us hold dear including love and loss.
