Soap star Ross Kemp has confirmed that he will once again be returning to EastEnders later this year as Grant Mitchell.
Fans last saw hard man Grant on their screens last month where he tried to talk his terminally ill beloved mum Peggy out of suicide. As we all know Peggy decided to go ahead with the suicide behind both Grant and Phil’s back.
It was Ross Kemp’s first appearance in the BBC soap for ten years and he has confessed he only returned as he was asked by Barbara Windsor (Peggy). During his brief return to the show, Grant promised his brother Phil (Steve McFadden) that he would return to wreak havoc on his life for not paying back the money he had loaned him. He also hinted that he was in some serious trouble back home in Portugal.
And now Kemp has confirmed that he will be returning to Albert Square soon for a longer stay.
The actor tweeted; “From learning my lines in the sun yesterday to @bbceastenders today. No spoilers but Grant’s back…soon #EastEnders”. (sic)
The latest return from the Mitchell brother promises to be explosive, as he will take on Phil in a battle and it was also revealed earlier this year that he finds out about a secret son he never knew he had.
