Talk about bringing the world together, the Special Olympics 2019 anthem sees a collaboration from artists around the world. The song is titled “Right Where I’m Supposed To Be” and definitely speaks from the heart, making it the perfect track to be associated with the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games held in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

This isn’t the first time that Avril Lavigne has released a Special Olympics anthem, 2015 saw her release the awesome track “Fly”, which has become a treasured hit amongst her fans. This new song saw five out of the six artists perform at the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics 2019.

Watch Avril Lavigne, Luis Fonsi, Hussain Al Jassmi, Assala Nasri & Tamer Hosny Perform “Right Where I’m Supposed To Be” At The Special Olympics 2019 Here:

During the opening ceremony, Ryan Tedder wasn’t in attendance and so Luis Fonsi took over his vocals, creating an incredible harmony with Avril Lavigne during the paired lyrics. We so hope to see an Avril Lavigne and Luis Fonsi collaboration in the future.

The song is absolutely stunning and we love how they’ve brought these different artists from around the world for this one track. We also love the mix of languages, the song brings together English, Arabic, and Spanish, creating this into a worldly track that is beyond beautiful.

Alongside the release of the official single, the Special Olympics 2019 also dropped a visual on their official YouTube channel. The music video shows the artists recording the track whilst scenes of the Special Olympics are intercut throughout. It’s a visual that certainly touches our hearts and works well with the song.
