On Saturday night (August 25), Rylan Clark-Neal’s dreams came true as he joined Britney Spears on stage at the O2 Arena, London.
As revealed last week, the TV presenter was invited by Britney herself to join her during her performance of ‘Freakshow’. He first met the pop princess over a year ago during an interview for This Morning.
It has become tradition for Britney to choose a member of the audience to join her on stage during this song, and over the years a number of famous faces have also been Britney’s ‘Freakshow’ star including American talk show host Andy Cohen and Backstreet Boys’ Howie Dorough.
During her performance at the O2 Arena on Saturday, it was finally Rylan’s turn. From being whipped and walked across the stage on a leash like a dog to showcasing his best moves, Rylan owned every second of his performance, leaving Britney looking very impressed.

Not only was the performance a huge moment for Britney super fan Rylan, but it was also a poignant and crazy reminder of how far he has come. Earlier in the day, he tweeted that his X Factor audition at the O2 was broadcast six years to the day, and now six years on he was going to be on the same stage being whipped by Britney. In Rylan’s own words, “What a life!”.
6 years ago tonight my @TheXFactor audition went out on tv, me with the long blonde locks on stage at @TheO2 . Tonight I’m back on stage at The O2 getting whipped by @britneyspears . What a life . #6yearsofrylan lols.
