Sabrina Carpenter has unveiled her latest track, ‘In My Bed’, taken from her forthcoming record, Singular: Act II.

The track is an electro-tinged offering which showcases yet another side to the multi-talented songstress. Whilst ‘In My Bed’ opens with a gentle melody, the chorus soon takes us in a different direction, with Sabrina dropping a groovy, synth-laden beat.

Speaking about the track, Sabrina said: “It’s a clever play on words instead of saying, ‘I’m in my head about it’. The song is about one of those moments where life feels like a lot to deal with. We took that and turned it into something really fun and vulnerable.”

Listen to ‘In My Bed’ below.

‘In My Bed’ follows on from ‘Exhale’ and ‘Pushing 20’, all of which feature on Sabrina’s forthcoming record Singular: Act II, which is due for release on July 19. It will follow her well received offering, Singular: Act I which we reviewed here.

    Singular Act 2 Tracklist

    1. ‘In My Bed’
    2. ‘Pushing 20’
    3. ‘I Can’t Stop Me’ featuring Saweetie
    4. ‘I’m Fakin’
    5. ‘Take Off All Your Cool’

    9. ‘Looking At Me’

Sabrina will be performing on Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series on July 5 so you can expect to hear some of these new tracks live.

In addition to releasing new music, Sabrina is taking on her first starring film role. She appears in The Short History of The Long Road, which received rave reviews last month when it premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. She will also be appearing in the upcoming Netflix comedy Tall Girl.
