Valentine’s Day may be over, but love is still in the air.

Sing It On breakout star Sam Creighton has released her first single “Adore.” Creighton’s smooth and sultry vocals bring this flirty, feel-good track to life, making it the perfect pop debut.

“Give me your permission, to be your new addiction,” she begs over an upbeat production.

“It wasn’t even intended to be the first release, but after hearing the lyrical and sonic content, it made sense to introduce me as an artist with this song,” the songstress revealed exclusively to CelebMix. “It’s super catchy and as some of my friends have described it – an ‘ear worm.’  This song actually embodies a lot of who I am in some great ways, but also with a dark undertone as well. At first listen, the song is clearly about seeing someone you’re very attracted to across the room and fantasizing what it would be like to be with that person. It’s happy, uptempo, and hopeful. However, as a pile of insecure mush that I am, the lyrical content of the song is quite literally begging for adoration, which is a common theme in my everyday life.”

“To a fault, I’m always looking for validation and love as a result of some trauma and loss in my childhood and upbringing,” she continued. “I’ve always thought that this is a pretty ironic subtext, seeing as you can’t get much more ‘bubble gum, happy, pop’ than this song. But, it goes to show that there is always more than meets the eye and I think it’s pretty cool that there can be different layers of a song. I just want people to take away that everyone is worthy of love and being ‘adored.’ It doesn’t take being loved by someone to feel worthy – you need to love yourself. It’s definitely a process, the journey of self-love, but it’s the most important.”

Creighton recently completed a month-long tour throughout the UK and Europe. She plans to release more music within the next few months leading up to the summer season. If you are in the Los Angeles area, be sure to check out her next gig at the The Peppermint Club on March 13.
