On 30 June 2018, Sam Feldt sustained injuries during a scooter accident in his hometown of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This DJ/producer has had to pull out of his summer tour, his festival appearances, and other shows that were lined up. He plans to have surgery on Thursday 12 July 2018 and he has been told to have at least six weeks of rest, hence why he had to cancel his touring plans.
Everyone was unaware of how badly he had injured himself, especially when he put the first health update on his Instagram, on the day of the accident.

In the Instagram post, he mentions how sorry he is to the fans that expected to see him at the Indian Summer Festival in the Netherlands. It wasn’t until nine days later, on 9 July 2018, that he found out all the information he needed so that he could truly reveal to his fans what the situation was and how he is doing.
What we admire about him is his positivity. In his latest photo, he is cheery and doesn’t look like he’s in pain at all – which he probably isn’t since he’s all bandaged up. His fans are completely supportive and it’s heartwarming to see all the best wishes that appear on the comments to the posts, and we’re sure he’ll be back on his feet and prepared to work harder than ever to make it up to all the fans.

In his letter to his fans, Sam Feldt says:
Dear fans,
Thanks for all the love and support – as you might have noticed I have been off the radar for the past week to rest and to process what has happened. Your kind words and wishes really helped me a lot. I just came back from the hospital and received some more info from the doctors.
Unfortunately, during my recent scooter accident I sustained a tibial plateau fracture, which is a nasty break in the upper part of my lower leg. I need surgery to be able to heal properly, which is scheduled for Thursday July 12th.
After surgery, at least 6 weeks of rest and revalidation are needed. Therefore I’m very sad to announce I won’t be playing any of the announced summer tour dates up until the 23rd of August. I’ll keep you updated about my surgery and recovery and when there is news to share you guys will be the first to know.
I can’t put into words how sad I am about cancelling these shows and the whole situation. I am deeply sorry to all my fans that were looking forward to seeing me and the band live. Me and my team are working really hard together with promoters to reschedule the shows to a later date.
All I can do now is take my rest and hope for a smooth and good recovery. I can’t wait for the moment to rock on stage once again!
Much love,
Sam Feldt
We hope that Sam Feldt has a healthy recovery after his surgery on Thursday. We’re sad that he’ll be missing out on big festivals such as Tomorrowland (main stage), Parookaville, Sziget, Sensation Bangkok, Nature One, and Black Sheep Festival. Regardless, the new songs he had planned to release are still going ahead – so maybe we’ll get some new music from him soon.
As he recovers, we suggest you show him some love by listening to his releases. His biggest hit to date is “Show Me Love” which featured Kimberly Anne, which was a refresh version of the club track of the same name by Robin S. Other hits include “Fade Away” with Lush & Simon featuring INNA, “Yes” featuring Akon, “Runaways” featuring Teemu, “Know You Better” with LVNDSCAPE featuring Tessa, and “Open Your Eyes” with Hook N Sling. In 2017, he released his debut album “Sunrise“, which he then followed-up with a second edition of the album, which featured an extra 12 tracks, titled “Sunrise To Sunset”; and, at the start of 2018 he released a remix album titled “After The Sunset”. He recently dropped a collaboration with SYML titled “Where’s My Love (Sam Feldt Edit)”.
