It looks like a new Sam Smith album will be with us very soon, thanks to recent pictures on Smith’s Instagram.
The singer-songwriter, who has been missing from the music scene for a few years, is finally making new music.
Photos on his Instagram show him seemingly laying down vocals for his second studio album, taken by James Barber.

Sam Smith is teaming up with Jimmy Napes again who worked with the singer on his 2014’s debut album In The Lonely Hour.

In The Lonely Hour earned Smith four Grammy Awards, including Best Pop Vocal Album and Song of the Year.
He also earned himself Best British Breakthrough and the Global Success Award at the Brit Awards in 2015.
Recently, it had been the three year anniversary of that album which Sam marked on his Instagram with a heartfelt photo and caption.

So, it clearly feels like the right time for the 25-year-old to come back with another huge album, right?

Well, judging by his photos the production of the second one is well underway with huge names already collaborating with the singer.
The 2016 Oscar winner was recently pictured with R&B Timbaland in the studio, saying: “It was a pleasure working with this man.”
So, it looks like Sam Smith’s new album is already looking to be another huge smash for the singer.
We can’t wait and are so glad to see Sam back in the studio.
