Sarah Close is back with her highly anticipated new single, ‘You Say’, released via her own label The Kodiak Club / AWAL.
Telling a tale of an ex-partner trying to rekindle a failed relationship when you’ve moved on and are finally happy, ‘You Say’ is bound to resonate with many. The track is laced with an infectious electro-pop beat whilst Sarah’s compelling vocals add to the song’s anthemic feel.
Speaking about the track, Sarah said: “I wrote this song about someone I met when I first moved to London and drew on my influences from artists such as Haim, Charli XCX and Carole King, with the aim to create a powerful upbeat fun song to celebrate being over someone. I worked very closely with my friend EasyFunn who produced the track and gave it the energy I always imagined.”

‘You Say’ follows on from Sarah’s Caught Up EP and ‘Only You’, both of which were released last year. Ever since her debut release, the talented artist has received accolades from the likes of CLASH, The Line of Best Fit and tmrw Mag, and we suspect that the support will only continue to grow with her new music.
Now that Sarah is back releasing music independently, she has full creative control which marks an exciting new turn in her journey. With more music due to be released later this year, we cannot wait to hear what she has in store.
