‘Quit’ quickly climbed to the top of the official Irish iTunes Charts – another phenomenal achievement for the talented brotherly duo, emulating the success of previous singles ‘Be Like You’ and ‘Get Lost,’ both of which also achieved significant chart success.
The single represents an extremely different side to the talented duo, compared to previous releases. ‘Quit’ is very stripped back and truly showcases the rawness and true beauty of their vocals. The lyrics are emotional, but also give an empowering message to their ever-growing legion of fans, encouraging them not to give up in pursuing their aspirations in life. The track showcases Sean’s indescribable rapping skills and Conor’s incredible vocals.
Speaking ahead of their Belfast tour date on Saturday 11 August, Sean and Conor said about the single:
Conor: ‘It’s a slower song. It’s more serious, it’s a piano song.’
Sean: ‘With ‘Be Like You’ and ‘Get Lost,’ it really showed the two of us off. We’re fun, two young lads, but we want to show that we’re musicians as well. This is stripped back and a nice, slow song.’
During their time on ‘The X Factor,’ the Irish duo were mentored by Simon Cowell and over the series, their performances were of a consistently high standard and the public watched their growth as the series progressed. Their first audition has received nearly four million views on YouTube to date. You can watch one of their performances from the show below:
