SG Lewis and RUEL to premiere new track at Coachella. Here’s all you need to know

Coachella weekend is made for stars to test out new material and Day 1 of Weekend 2 looks to be no exception.

DJ and singer/songwriter SG Lewis yesterday took to social media to announce a new track with Australian hotshot RUEL. The record, the name as of yet unknown, will be premiered during SG’s set today and has already caused a social media frenzy.

Who are the artists?

Electro artist SG Lewis has already scored hits over the years with singles such as ‘Shivers’ with JP Cooper, ‘Aura’ with J Warner and, most recently, ‘Hurting’ with AlunaGeorge which set the Mojave tent alight last weekend. Two thirds through a three-party album release in Dusk, Dark and Dawn, the newest RUEL collab looks set to be the next single.

16-year-old RUEL is an Australian youngster with a soulful voice way past his years. Last year’s Ready EP was a landmark moment in the star’s rise, winning him fans across the globe. CelebMix caught his live set in Paris last year and this SG Lewis collaboration will be fans’ first taste of new music this year.

When can we hear the track?

If you didn’t catch SG Lewis’ live set last-week, you missed out on the producer’s biggest Coachella moment to date. The RUEL collaboration will be premiered during SG Lewis’ set this weekend at 01:20am Saturday morning BST.

Can we watch live?

Yes! Tickets to Coachella may be hard to come by, but the festival are good about streaming acts’ sets. You can catch SG Lewis’ set on the Coachella YouTube channel.

What will it sound like?

Just like you, we are eagerly waiting to find out. However, you can expect more of SG Lewis’ innovating electronica and, if it is another release from Dawn, could follow from ‘Throwaway’ and ‘Blue’. Combined with RUEL’s deep soul, it has a hit written all over it.
