Country/pop crossover over sensation Shania Twain has gotten very sassy with U.S actor Ashton Kutcher, their comical Twitter exchange came after Ashton had made jokes about Shania on his new Netflix show ‘The Ranch’.
Ashton Kutcher had poked fun at the 50-year-old singer on ‘The Ranch’ with jokes including one about his character Cole Bennett meeting the Canadian star while playing football in Saskatoon. He told his family that he slid “balls head first into Miss Shania” before showing her his “Twain.”
But Shania Twain proved that she is up for a laugh after the 38-year-old former Two and a Half Men star apologised to her on Twitter with a reference to her hit single ‘Man! I Feel Like A Woman!’, tweeting: ”
Apologies again, Miss @ShaniaTwain. I had no inhibitions, made no conditions and definitely got out of line. @TheRanchNetflix” (sic).
The sassy singer hit back with a tweet of her own, referencing her hit ‘Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?’, writing:
“@aplusk next time you’re lonely, don’t call on me. Try the operator, maybe she’ll be free. @theranchnetflix” (sic).
Their comical exchange didn’t stop there, with Kutcher hitting back at Twain’s reply with a playful nod to her song ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’, saying:
“Note to self: Shania Twain… not easily impressed.” (sic).
After numerous media outlets had claimed that Shania Twain’s original reply was an angry response to Aston Kutcher’s jokes, the ‘Up!’ hitmaker confirmed that their Twitter exchange was all in good fun, writing:
“Having some laughs with @aplusk! :) Good luck with “The Ranch”!” (sic).
