Australian singer-songwriter, Sia, and her husband Erik Anders Lang have decided to separate. The pair made a statement through her rep, in which they said: “After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple. We are, however, dedicated to remaining friends. There will be no further comment.”
The couple married at the ‘Chandelier’ singer‘s home in Palm Springs, California back in August 2014, two months after Lang announced their engagement on Instagram in June of that year.
Despite Sia’s large following and the constant media attention she receives, she has kept her relationship out of the public eye for the most part, for example, she only confirmed her new marital status eight months after her wedding on Australian radio show Nova 69.6 in April last year.
Sia earned three Grammy nominations this Tuesday, including best pop vocal album for her latest album ‘This Is Acting,’ while film-maker Lang’s website says he has created documentaries for the likes of Louis Vuitton, Honda and MTV.
