DJ and producer Sigala has announced the release of his debut album Brighter Days, in addition to an October UK tour.
Brighter Days is due for release on September 21. Whilst the full tracklist has yet to be revealed, Sigala has confirmed that it will include his previous smash hits: ‘Easy Love’, ‘Sweet Loving’ featuring Bryn Christopher, ‘Say You Do’ featuring Imani and DJ Fresh, ‘Give Me Your Love’ featuring John Newman and Nile Rodgers, ‘Came Here For Love’ featuring Ella Eyre, and ‘Lullaby’ featuring Paloma Faith.
Sigala announced his album in the most special way possible by taking a team of people who have played a part in his journey so far, including collaborators and writers, to Ibiza on a chartered flight. Dubbed as Summer of Sigala, the DJ will release a series of new tracks over the coming months, culminating with the full-length album.
According to Attitude Magazine, one collaboration in particular that we can look forward to will feature the one and only Kylie Minogue. We’re already beyond excited to hear it!
Speaking about the album, Sigala said: “I went away to Belgium in November for a month to this studio in the woods in the middle of nowhere. I think I saw about three people while I was there. I just saw it as an opportunity to experiment.”
He added that working away from London gave him the chance to create some off his best music yet, without the pressure of having to release singles to radio. He said: “They’re songs that I’m really proud of and I’m really happy they’re able to see the light of day. If I’d just kept releasing singles that would have never happened.”
In addition to the album announcement, Sigala has also unveiled a string of tour dates which will take place across the UK this October.
