Silk City – the supergroup made up of Diplo and Mark Ronson – have finally released ‘Electricity’, their highly anticipated new single featuring Dua Lipa.
The collaboration has been teased by the artists on social media over the past few weeks, and it’s safe to say that it was worth the wait. Armed with an old school 90’s house vibe, the dance track is irresistible to the ear, with Dua’s distinct vocals taking centre stage.
In addition to the track itself, the music video for ‘Electricity’ has also been unveiled. Directed by Bradley & Pablo, the visual sees Dua host a house party during a New York blackout. Sporting a new blonde ‘do, Dua is seen dancing freely around an apartment before being joined by an array of partygoers. Mark and Diplo make a brief appearance in the visual, however, they sadly miss out on the party as they’re stuck in a lift.
Check out the visual for ‘Electricity’ below.
‘Electricity’ is Silk City’s fourth single, following on from ‘Only Can Get Better’ with Daniel Merriweather, ‘Feel About You’ with Mapei, and ‘Loud’ featuring GoldLink and Desiigner.
The track will also feature on a repackaged super deluxe version of Dua Lipa’s self-titled debut album which is due for release on October 19. The album will include three never before heard songs including a collaboration with K-Pop group BLACKPINK.
