Simone Biles recently went on Twitter to reveal that she has ADHD, after private medical records leaked online.
A group of Russian hackers who call themselves, “Fancy Bears” infiltrated the World Anti-Doping Agency. They released private medical records of several U.S. Olympic athletes, including Serena Williams, Venus Williams, and Simone Biles. The documents showed that Biles tested positive for a banned drug on the WADA list.
However, Simone went on Twitter to explain that she takes medicine for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Biles added that she believes in “clean sport” and has “always followed the rules.”

A statement made by USA Gymnastics explains that due to having ADHD, Biles was approved medication for “Therapeutic Use Exemptions” (TUEs), meaning that she did not misuse any substances.
