Deno Driz has dropped his latest track, ‘First Days’, in honour of the late rapper, Cadet.
The song is officially out now on Deno’s YouTube channel and other streaming platforms.
Deno took to Instagram to announce the independently released tune:
“THIS SONG IS INDEPENDENT SO ALL MONEY MADE FOR THIS SONG WILL BE GOING TO THE FAMILY OF CADET”.
Deno rose to fame after his schoolyard singing sessions on Instagram began to gain more views.
The youngster gained recognition after his cover of Geko’s song, ‘Over and Under’, went viral in March 2016.
Not only is the youngster known for his unique sound, but he also featured on Shiro’s Story Part 3 back in 2018.
Deno and Cadet released an independent tune, ‘Advice’, back in September 2018, which peaked at number 27 on the Official Charts with no label help.
The pair’s tune went Brit Certified Silver and were in the charts top 40 for 15 weeks.
The south-London rapper, Cadet, – real name Blaine Cameron Johnson – died in the early hours of 9th February 2019.
The news of Cadet’s passing was confirmed by his family via Cadet’s Instagram page.
Friends and family have been paying their tributes to the underrated legend online, including his renowned cousin, Krept – who is one half of rapping duo, Krept and Konan.
On 10thFebruary 2019, what seemed to be the whole of London, turned up at Hyde Park to pay their tributes to Cadet, releasing balloons playing his latest track with Deno.
Krept and Cadet’s mother are now asking for ideas for something to do or build in honour of Cadet.
Krept has announced on his Twitter that he is currently planning an event with over 20 of the UK’s hottest artists, in hopes to raise money to do something great in Cadet’s name.
