Single Review: Britney Spears’ ‘Make Me’ Soars Into R&B Downtempo Ecstasy

Pop icon Britney Spears has returned with a new single that’s filled with just the right amount of elements to make it an international hit, especially on U.S. radio.

With an R&B downtempo feel, Spears takes an eccentric and opposite approach from her first single released from last era album Britney Jean. While ‘Work Bitch’ certainly took the world by storm due to its catch production and lyrics, ‘Make Me’ will do that and probably much more damage chart wise.

Featuring rapper G-Eazy, the collaboration really showcases Spears’ dedication to reinvention and delving into other genres – not just specifically pop or dance-pop for that matter. It’s definitely the reason why people are still to this day clinked on to Spears: you’re never gonna know what you’re gonna get. And that’s the beauty of it all. The anxious wait and suspense for a new era that many fans around the world constantly crave for every time.

Overall, the single rings the bells of cheeky and flirty in a vocally silky way – much to the pop stars advantage.

The globe sees a different side of Britney and it seems to be going along rather swimmingly. The song has already catapulted to the top of the U.S. iTunes chart, as well as in countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, etc!

The rise continues for this lovely lady.
