Electronic group Major Lazer has released a new track that is sure to be a hit on the charts. Their upbeat new single ‘Cold Water’ features Justin Bieber and Danish singer MØ!
The tropical-sounding dance track gives a positive message about always being there for someone who is important to you. The song highlights the line,
“If you feel you’re sinking I will jump right over into cold, cold water for you.”
The song describes that no matter what someone is going through, they should always have a person on their side to lift them up.
Bieber provides the majority of the vocals on the track, but Danish female singer MØ lends her voice at the end.
Major Lazer is a trio containing American DJ Diplo, who worked with Justin Bieber on the Jack Ü track ‘Where Are Ü Now.’ With the success that their last collaboration received, we can only assume that ‘Cold Water’ will reach the same achievement!
MØ has also had previous success with Major Lazer in their 2015 hit ‘Lean On,’ produced along with DJ Snake.
Overall, with a beach vibe in the verses and an EDM breakdown after the chorus, ‘Cold Water’ makes us want to dance along! We believe that the song will perform very well on the charts and radio.
