This time last year former Union J band member George Shelley was just weeks into his solo career having released a series of six songs over six weeks in the lead up to Christmas 2016. Fans adored songs such as ‘Soldier‘ and ‘Scars‘ and he was able to gain a whole new fanbase while still keeping a hold on the Union J demographic.
And now after a year break from the industry the 24-year-old heartthrob is back with new music with the release of ‘Leave Me Alone‘. The tropical style single is featured on rising DJ Sam Feldt’s debut album ‘Sunset to Sunrise‘ which is out now.
The stunning track has an old-school tropical vibe with a modern day pop edge and showcases George Shelley’s throaty vocals in all their glory. Feldt’s production is insane and it makes for a brilliant song.
‘Leave Me Alone’ is very different to the rock infused, guitar based music Shelley released last year and has more of electro-pop vibe but it is equally as good as the tracks that were used to launch his solo career twelve months ago.
Overall the song is a fantastic club anthem that highlights everything that is good about George Shelley’s vocal abilities while shining a light on Sam Feldt’s brilliant DJ skills.
RATING; 4.5/5.
