Solange Recruits Teenage Son To Help Design Outfit For Mardi Gras

Singer Solange has revealed that her 13 year old son helped to design her outfit for the Mardi Gras celebrations in her adopted hometown of New Orleans.

Taking to Instagram the ‘Cranes In The Sky’ singer posted an image of herself posing in a crystal-draped black cowboy hat, dazzlingly bright earrings, and an equally embellished black jacket.

Writing alongside the image Solange posted the caption “Very proud to say my son and I made this hat (come thru glue gun) we a dream team.”

Solange then went onto reveal that her friend, designer Raul Lopez, helped to create her long leather jacket, which featured two large wing-style shapes in chainmail-like material on the chest and appeared to connect to her ears by long chains.

“Very proud to say my friend made this jacket/earrings and we a dream team @raulzepol.”

Mardi Gras, also known as Shrove Tuesday, refers to events of the Carnival celebrations, beginning on or after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany (Three Kings Day) and culminating on the day before Ash Wednesday.
