Do We Need 5 For The Power Of Spice?

Eagled eyed Spice fans will however notice there is one girl missing from the groups original line up…

Because of her business commitments Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, won’t be joining the girls on tour, but according to the girls themselves, Beckham will always be one of the Spice Girls and remains aligned with Emma, Mel B, Melanie C and Geri in preserving their unique legacy.

“Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour” Victoria said today.

“I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!”

“It’s time to spice things up all over again!!!!! I can’t wait to perform to our forever supporting fans and a whole new spice generation! Love you all!” – Emma

“I’ve said it sooo many times I’m beside myself it’s actually happening yipppeeee. I’m now properly screaming it from every rooftop – me and my girls will see you all on stage!!” – Mel B

“Reminiscing with the girls about how much fun we had, made me feel like it was the right time to do it all over again!” – Melanie C

SPICE UP YOUR LIFE: The Spice Girls Story

SO HERE’S THE STORY FROM A-Z…

After the release of their iconic debut single ‘Wannabe’ in 1996 (which topped the charts in 37 countries), the Spice Girls took over the WORLD in the late 90’s!

Releasing 13 singles, 3 studio albums and 1 blockbuster movie the girls changed the face of pop music forever, inspiring a whole generation of girls (and boys) to be unapologetically proud of who they were.

Their debut album ‘Spice’ went onto sell more than 31 million copies worldwide and remains the best-selling album of ALL TIME by a female group.

After taking a break from the band to pursue solo projects in 2001, all 5 girls reunited in 2007 for the phenomenally successful ‘Return Of The Spice Girls World Tour’ which saw them perform at venues around the world, including 17 sold out shows at The O2 Arena in London.

The tour is estimated to have grossed over $70 million and produced $107.2 million in ticket sales and merchandising, becoming the 8th highest-grossing concert tour of 2008.

The Spice Girls last performed together at the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony in London.
