With the year coming to an end, Spotify has announced its most streamed artists of 2017.

Unsurprisingly, Ed Sheeran features heavily, topping nine of the lists. Not only is he the most streamed artist and streamed male in the UK, but he’s also topped the global lists too. Additionally, he has claimed the most streamed song and album both in the UK and globally.

In the UK, Dua Lipa is the most streamed female artist whilst Little Mix claim the title of the most streamed group. On a global scale, Rihanna and Coldplay are the most streamed female and group respectively, whilst Camila Cabello bags the title of the most streamed breakout artist.

‘Despacito’ has also made its mark on the UK and global streaming charts. The remix version, made famous by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, is the second most streamed song in the UK. However, both the remix and the original version appear in the global top five, at number two and three respectively.

Other acts to feature in the end of year lists include Drake, The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, The Chainsmokers, Ariana Grande, and Kendrick Lamar. Check out the full lists below.
