The Stone Roses may have only released 2 albums since their formation in the 1980’s but their contribution to music has been an incredible one. With hits like ‘I Wanna Be Adored’ ‘Fools Gold’ and ‘Love Spreads’, The Stone Roses have a song for just about anyone. After an announcement today, it’s quite possible that their fan base will grow even larger after this evening.
The band took to their Twitter account on May 12th and announced that they’ll be releasing a new single before the day’s end.

Fans of the band immediately took to social media with excitement for the new track and have been anxiously awaiting its release within hours. The band is infamous for having lyrics that get stuck in your head and a really unique sound that differs just enough between each track.
The Stone Roses has gone through some changes in their time away from releasing new music but the formation of members Ian Brown, Mani, Reni, and John Squire are behind the new single and have had the longest history within the band together.
After a reformation in 2011, where it was said that they were “ready to take over the world”, and sold out shows and music festival lineups – it looks like they’re ready to release new music alongside it.
In 2011, during a press release about their reunion, Mani said something that all fans of the band can relate to and agree with – it also stands very true in this moment while fans look forward to their new song.
“Something magical happens when us four are in the room together, you can’t put your finger on it. It’s just beautiful to capture it again. I’ve missed it.”
