After an incredibly successful couple of years together, Irish boy band Taken – made up of members Richie, Eoghan and Ste – announced that unfortunately, their time together as a trio was at an end.
Taking to their Facebook page to unveil the news, Taken were quick to thank their fans for their support, saying that during their time together as a band, there ‘were some unforgettable memories that would not have been possible without the support you’ve given us.’
Their statement also revealed that Richie and Eoghan will be working on a new project together, with remaining member Ste working on a solo project.

Speaking about his decision to leave Taken, Ste explained that ‘there was no fights, there was no negative reason that I decided other than the fact that being in the band was just something I didn’t want to do anymore.’ He also stated that he felt that he has made the best decision.

During their time together as a band, the trio embarked on several headline tours around the UK, Ireland and Europe. They also supported numerous artists and released several singles.
