The American Music Awards just wrapped for this year and they reminded us of how incredible this year in music has been and it still has one month left!

Hosted by Ciara for the second year in a row, the fan-voted awards took place in Los Angeles, CA. Fans tuned in on ABC and live streams on Twitter.

To kick off the night, Selena Gomez made her return to the stage to perform her latest singles, “Lose You to Love Me” and “Look at Her Now.” We cannot wait to hear the rest of her album and see her nominated next year at the awards.

Lizzo premiered her new song, “Jerome” while dressed in pink. Billie Eilish took home her first two AMAs for New Artist of the Year and Artist- Alternative Rock and also performed “All the Good Girls Go to Hell.”

Kesha rocked the stage with Big Freedia to perform her latest single, “Raising Hell.” She then surprised the crowd with her smash hit, “Tik Tok.” The entire place went nuts.

Everyone’s favorite couple, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, performed their number one hit, “Senorita.” Best friend, Taylor Swift, was shook, and Taran Killam’s face was what we were all thinking, just kiss already!

The couple also took home the award for Collaboration of the Year for Senorita and gave a shoutout to their moms.

Halsey performed her hit, “Graveyard” and also took home the award for Favorite Song- Pop/Rock for “Without Me” with an amazing speech.

The Jonas Brothers, Post Malone, Dua Lipa, Thomas Rhett, Christina Aguilera, Green Day and more delivered showstopping performances.

While this entire show was amazing and we have to congratulate every nominee, winner, and performer, the biggest winner of the night was none other than Taylor Swift.

Swift won in all the categories that she was nominated in including Favorite Artist- Adult Contemporary, Favorite Album- Pop/ Rock for Lover, Favorite Music Video for “You Need to Calm Down,” Favorite Female Artist- Pop/Rock, and Artist of the Year.

She was also honored with the award for Artist of the Decade. After Carole King talked about the singer, a clip rolled to show her accomplishments and memories over the oast decade.

Swift then performed a medley of songs including opening with “The Man” in a straight jacket with all of her past albums on it. (We see what you did there, Taylor). Then the place went wild when she sang “Love Story,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” “Blank Space,” “Shake it Off” with Halsey and Camila Cabello, and ended the performance with “Lover” on the piano with Misty Copeland and Craig Hall dancing.

Swift kept it classy and reminded us all why she is THE artist of the decade. Her catalog has been a part of our lives for a decade now and will be for decades to come.

The show ended with Shania Twain taking the stage and covering many songs of artists who were nominated this year including Swift, Drake, and more. Then sang her own songs including “Still the One” and “Man, I Feel Like a Woman!”

At the end, host Ciara brought Taylor Swift one stage and announced she is now the most awarded artist ever at the AMAs, surpassing Michael Jackson’s record. She now has 29 AMAs, one for every year of her life.

Congratulations to all of the winners at this year’s American Music Awards and thank you for incredible music! We cannot wait until next year.
