Last night saw the first evening of Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball in association with Seat. It’s one the biggest Christmas parties of the year and is always a great way to get into the festive mood. It was hosted by Will Manning and Amiee Vivian.
Kicking off the show was the legendary Marvin Humes with a quick DJ set to get the crowd all warmed up for Liam Payne.
Liam Payne really got the crowd going with his popular track ‘Strip That Down’. His setlist consisted of all his single releases so far, including latest single ‘Stack It Up’ which he ended his set with and had everyone singing along to.
Next on the line up was Jonas Blue starting his set with JP Cooper singing ‘Perfect Strangers’.
Jonas Blue did not fail to keep the atmosphere at the O2 high as he put on his greatest tracks, including, ‘Rise‘ and ‘Mama‘. Hrvy joined him to perform the duo’s latest single ‘Younger’. He finished his set with ‘Polaroid’, Liam Payne returning to the Capital stage for the second time to perform their hit song.
Aitch then sang ‘Taste (Make It Shake)’ the crowd was singing along to every word. He then continued the theme of bringing out other performers with Young T & Bugsey joining him for ‘Strike Me A Pose’ and the crowd went wild.
Ava Max was the first woman on the Jingle Bell Ball’s stage and she owned the O2 Arena for her set of ‘So Am I’, ‘Torn’ and “Psycho’.
Lauv was next. He started his set with ‘I’m So Tired’.He also sang ‘I Like It Better’ and finished with ‘F**ck, I’m Lonely’.
After Lauv was Reggard with ‘Ride It’, one of the biggest singles of 2019. This tune got the O2 bouncing and dancing along to its catchy beat.
Jax Jones then bought Christmas to the O2 Arena, with dancing Christmas trees, and Christmas puddings as well as elves on ostriches and the abdominal snowman. Raye and Ella Henderson joined him on stage to perform ‘Like You Know Me’ and ‘Real Love’.
Rita Ora’s wowed the audience with a setlist full of hits like ‘Let You Love Me’ and Anywhere. She got in to the festive spirit with a white Christmas inspired outfit.
Harry Styles hit the stage, his set trending on social media before he’d even finished his first track, ‘Lights Up, next was his latest single ‘Adore You‘. ‘Sign Of The Times’ saw the crowd singing back his lyrics, ‘Watermelon Sugar’ followed, which is a track off of his newest album ‘Fine Line’. Before his final song, he thanked the crowd for all of their support before and after the next song was released, the song was One Direction’s ‘What Makes You Beautiful.’
Stormzy was the final performer of the evening. He ran onto the stage full of energy performing ‘Big For Your Boots’. He had the crowd going wild with fireworks and steam going off to the beat of the track. Later into the set he wanted to take the beat down so he performed ‘Crown’ and ‘Blinded By Your Grace’. He then said to the crowd that he wanted more energy and rocked the O2 arena as he performed ‘Vossi Bop’.
