5 Seconds of Summer have been breaking from their genre this year and trying new things as a band, and their latest collaboration is no exception as they’ve teamed up with The Chainsmokers to release a new song called Who Do You Love.
The song mixes The Chainsmokers’ usual techno pop with the vocals of 5SOS members Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, and Michael Clifford. The three sing about infidelity and dishonesty in a relationship. Drummer of 5SOS, Ashton Irwin, tweeted about his excitement for bending their creativity and experimenting with a new sound on this track.
The song’s lyrics and topic of focus caters to the usual concept-driven style of 5 Seconds of Summer while combining the upbeat electro pop of The Chainsmokers. This unlikely collaboration might be getting a lot of radio play in the future. Listen to it here!
