It’s not every day we got offered to have our dinner cooked for us by a Masterchef finalist, so when we were invited to the Jam Shed Supper Club to have dinner cooked for us by 2017 MasterChef finalist Steve Kielty, we didn’t hesitate to say yes!
The Jam Shed Supper Club is a fun night out for friends and family offering you the chance to enjoy a feast freshly made by MasterChef finalists.
It’s an intimate dining experience at London’s Southbank Centre, in St Pauls Pavillion with an amazing view of the city.
You are seated on tables of 6 and have sharing platters. And Steve cooked on a food station in front of all the guests which gave it a really nice vibe and it felt very intimate.
We ate:
Sharing plates
Crubeens and pickles
Cured sea trout, horseradish, smoked beets, watercress
Carrot salad, fresh curds, parsley ketchup, carrot pesto
BBQ grelots (onions), salted ricotta, peas, roasted lemon
Sourdough, ‘Jam Shed’ butter
Shared main
BBQ, sticky, ‘Jam Shed’ glazed dry-aged Herefordshire brisket,
corn relish, sweet potato salad, hot sauce, coriander ketchup
Pudding
Scottish raspberries, yoghurt, elderflower, orange blossom,
raspberry sherbet
The food was amazing and Steve makes the nicest ‘Hot Sauce’ we have ever tasted.
What we also loved is the fact that in addition to having a fun night out with friends or loved ones you are also supporting The Springboard Charity, which brings disadvantaged and underprivileged people into sustainable employment within hospitality, leisure and tourism.
