The Jonas Brothers kicked off the first leg of their tour last weekend at Yankee Stadium in New York. ‘The Tour’ is set to take Joe, Kevin and Nick around the globe singing their hits to thousands of fans.
The brothers reunited in 2019 after taking a hiatus in 2013 and ever since then, it’s been non-stop. Since then they have released two albums, several singles, two documentaries and are currently embarking on their second world tour of the reunion. ‘The Tour’ shows are set to be a few hours long as the Jonas Brothers prepare to sing the majority of their songs from their five albums.
The kick-off shows in New York saw Kevin, Nick and Joe on stage for a total of 67 songs. They are aiming to get through as many songs as they can each night, with an interval. They will be singing each of their biggest hits as well as many album tracks. However, the setlist is subject to change every night and each night is a surprise for fans.
Nick, Joe and Kevin have also promised their fans special guests throughout the tour. So far, they have welcomed Big Rob on stage who, if you are a die-hard Jonas fan you will already know, but if you don’t, he is their ex-security who sang the rap in Burnin’ Up. This was an absolute delight for fans to see Big Rob back with the Jonas Brothers.
@jonasbrothers Big Rob’s 4 real and that’s no lie. #THETOUR
Jimmy Fallon also surprised fans by making a guest appearance in the interval of one of the opening shows and singing Mr Brightside by The Killers to keep the crowd engaged.
@jonasbrothers Anyone know the world record for largest number of people singing “Mr. Brightside” by chance? @Jimmy Fallon
‘The Tour’ will be continuing across the US this year till December. It will then take residence in Australia and New Zealand before getting to Europe and the UK next summer. You can buy tickets here.
