The Mowgli’s have just released a new music video for their single ‘Fighting With Yourself’.
‘Fighting With Yourself’, influenced by the 90s pop punk stars, is a self-empowering anthem that narrates accepting change and not fighting against the tide. Meanwhile, the energetic music video shows The Mowgli’s fans dancing and singing along to the music.
The single is a whole new direction for the band. It not only reflects getting out of your own way, being honest about your failings and moving forward but also marks Katie Jayne Earl’s first debut as a lead singer.
The Mowgli’s is an American alternative rock band that consists of five friends, Joshua Hogan, Katie Jayne Earl, Matthew Di Panni, David Appelbaum, Andy Warren, whose friendship has been tested and rebuilt numerous times.
Despite the highlights such as appearances on late-night TV shows, collaborations with charities and performances in legendary venues, there have also been tests like losing band members, maintaining their friendship and battling with stress.
“Since this band started we’ve been through a lot of changes: gained members, lost members, been shuffled around labels and learned a lot about the music industry,” says drummer Andy Warren.
Over time, the core members have evolved from playing midnight warehouse parties to the stages of the largest festivals. Today The Mowgli’s are set to embark on a nationwide tour, supporting Plain White T’s and New Politics.
“Now it feels like we’re really independent again, refocused on curating our live show, more in touch with the business of being this band. Our sound has evolved, but we always circle back to the basic themes: love, feeling good, excited for life no matter what the day delivers.” Andy adds.
