Just when we couldn’t get any more excited about the release of Kung Fu Panda 3, it’s been announced that the title track has been recorded by no other than The Vamps!

Brad, James, Connor and Tristan will be getting their kung fu on, with their own special version of the classic song ‘Kung Fu Fighting’.

20th Century Fox tweeted the announcement, followed by some excited tweets by Tristan and Connor.

Never thought 4 years ago I'd be able to say that we have recorded the title track for the new #KungFuPanda ? @20CenturyFoxUK more news soon

    — Conor Bell (@TheVampsCon) December 15, 2015

Con’s tweet made us a bit emosh, they’ve come so far since they first hit the music scene. Well done boys, we’re super proud of you!

Not only are they singing the title track, but the boys have landed a role in the film itself! James told Global’s Kevin Hughes “It’s an awesome opportunity for us, we love all of the Kung Fu Panda films, so it’s great to be part of the third one, and we even get to be two geese in the film, that’s an exclusive! We shot the video recently but it’s all top-secret under wraps.”

The band also said “As huge fans of Kung Fu Panda, we couldn’t be more excited to be part of Kung Fu Panda 3! It’s amazing that our own version of ‘Kung Fu Fighting’ will be heard everywhere around the world and it was an honour to be asked to put our spin on such an iconic song. Shooting the video was so much fun and we can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

Listen to the boys talking about their roles in the film below.

The official video for the song will be released in January 2016 – we hope the boys have got their best kung fu moves at the ready! The film itself will be released on March 11th.
