Rising Swedish star Theoz is making waves with the catchy new single ‘Nagon Annan’.
The singer dropped his latest track in the middle of August and pop smash has already racked up hundreds of thousands of streams since its release.
Theoz of course took part in Melodifestivalen this year, the Swedish Eurovision selection contest, with his hit track ‘Mer av dig’ finishing in fifth place – only beaten by the likes of Marcus & Martinus and eventual Eurovision winner Loreen.
‘Mer av dig’, which boasts 15 million streams on Spotify alone, has seen the star’s stock rise as potentially the next great export from a country known as the home of pop music.
Theoz first grew an audience on viral app Musical.ly at the tender age of 12 and went on to star in 2020 film Rymdresan.
‘Nagon Annan’ is the rising star’s most confident release yet with an earworm of a chorus that even those who don’t speak Swedish will find themselves humming after a single listen – in English, the track translates as an ode to an ex-lover who has moved on with someone new.
Theoz has a string of Swedish live shows coming up this August and he told Eurovision Fun earlier this year of his dream to take his music abroad. He said: “It’s one of my biggest dreams to have a tour outside of Sweden, but currently it’s hard, as most of my songs are in Swedish. So maybe in the future, I hope that this dream will come true one day.”
