Thirty Seconds To Mars played a tribute medley to honour some of the great artists who we tragically lost within the last few years during their performance at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge.
The medley consists of Prince’s “Purple Rain,” David Bowie’s “Heroes,” George Michael’s “Freedom,” Linkin Park’s “Crawling,” and Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun”.
This performance offers a unique take on the classic songs of amazing artists who we lost too soon. It is also a creative way to pay tribute to many of those artists at the same time without performing a number of different, separate covers.
The band’s frontman, Jared Leto, also recently paid tribute to Chester Bennington with a speech at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards. You can see his touching speech HERE.
