And we danced all night to the best single ever! (See what we did there?) It’s been around a month now since One Direction has performed their last live performance before starting their official (or still unofficial) hiatus. Although we already miss the boys on stage daily, we still have one more thing that we can look forward to. History, the newest single from One Direction! As you may know, Infinity was originally going to be their third single from Made In The A.M, but the response for History was so amazing, the boys had to change it. Here are three reasons why we believe that History will be the best single ever!
3. It’s a love letter for the fans
“You and me, got a whole lot of history. We could be the greatest team, that the world has ever seen! You and me got a whole lot of history. So don’t let it go, we can make some more. We can live forever!”
The lyrics to this song say it all. The boys wanted to thank us for all the years of their constant support. The fans are always thanking the boys for what they’ve done for us in our lives, but it was their turn to thank the fans. They truly stepped it up better than ever. Knowing that One Direction has confirmed that History was written for fans makes us so so so excited. We’re hoping that the music video is as lovely as the song, and knowing the boys, it will be!
2. It’s catchy beat wins it all!
There is no denial that History is a catchy song. Not only does it have an amazing message, the beat also makes the song extra special. Imagine, listening to History in the car (if you weren’t already) and just jamming out, having a great time with your loved ones or friends. It’s such an amazing song, there is no way that the music video could be less beautiful. Also, since this song is so special to us and the boys, it is almost definite that they will try their best to make this the most memorable single there is. We’re so excited for it – we can barely contain it!
1. “Promise ?”
Yes, we did mention that History was the boys’ love letter to the fans but we never talked about the relationship and interaction One Direction has with them. There is no lie that fans love the lads dearly. The boys may not be able to say how much they love their fans every moment of every day, but they always find a way to show it in the best way that they can.
“All of the rumours, all of the fights. But we always find a way to make it out alive.”
As everyone knows, 2015 was quite an eventful year for One Direction. With rumours that continue to pile up, many were worried and scared for the future, especially since they announced their hiatus (they will come back!) With Made In The A.M and History finishing off the album, it is a reassurance that they will always be there for their fans. It is amazing to see the relationship that was formed after five incredible years.
