Throwback Thursday: Sam Smith ‘Lay Me Down’

Let us rewind to February 2013 when the lessor known Sam Smith released the lead single from debut album In The Lonely Hour.

The singer had contributed vocals to Disclosure’s ‘Latch’ released just a few months prior, but this was Sam’s first solo release, and was written with Elviin and regular collaborator Jimmy Napes.

Fast forward to 2018 and at the age of 25, Sam Smith is one of the world’s most successful recording artists and has just completed a UK arena tour, his biggest headline shows to date in support of his recent album The Thrill Of It All.

This video is a reminder of how it all began.
