The wait is almost over and any Tinashe fans out there can breathe a sigh of relief as the singer has just revealed the official release date and cover art for her forthcoming album, “JOYRIDE,” and, drum roll please… It is coming out in less than a month!
After a long wait, Tinashe’s delayed sophomore album, “JOYRIDE,” is set to be released on 13th April and we seriously could not be more excited about it. But that’s not all… In a move that nearly sent us into complete hyperventilation, Tinashe also took to Instagram to unveil the cover art for her album.
Insert overly excited scream here.
In the picture, the R&B singer looks gorgeous as she strikes a sexy pose in a long dress in front of a plain grey backdrop which quite simply put is h-o-t.
“The wait is over. JOYRIDE 4•13,” she captioned the shot on Instagram for her two million followers.
The road to, “JOYRIDE,” has been a long one with the album having to be pushed back a few times, but once it is finally released it will join Tinashe’s mixtapes, “Nightride,” and, “Amethyst,” and her LP, “Aquarius,” which was released back in 2014.
After announcing, “JOYRIDE,” over two years ago, its release date has been delayed numerous times with Tinashe explaining that things hadn’t gone according to her original plan but, “that’s life,” during an interview with The Guardian last summer.
She also recently told Interview Magazine that, “It’s something I hope everyone will appreciate. I am excited for fans to hear it. I think it has a lot of great energy, and it’s something that you want to play that makes you feel good. I’ve definitely put a lot of work and energy into it for a while.”
You can read the rest of Tinashe’s interview with Interview Magazine right here.
And while there is no word as of yet on her upcoming album’s official tracklist we’re hoping that her 2018 singles, “No Drama,” featuring Offset and, “Faded Love,” featuring Future will make the cut, as well as previously announced new single, “Me So Bad,” featuring French Montana and Ty Dolla $ign which is expected to drop in the coming weeks.
Make sure to mark 13th April on your calendars and keep your eyes peeled for more information on, “JOYRIDE,” while we go and try to find a way to speed up time so that April can come quicker.
