The Story of Tracy Beaker began in 2002 and then went on to have over 100 episodes on CBBC. It followed life in a children’s home, named ‘The Dumping Ground’ on the show. The show was mainly set around Tracy, otherwise known as Dani Harmer. Since, there has been a few spin off series’ such as ‘Tracy Beaker Returns’ and ‘The Dumping Ground’.

Dani Harmer (Tracy Beaker)
Dani played the main character in the show and has featured in programs based around Tracy Beaker from 2002 to 2012.
In 2009 Dani released a single named ‘Free’ and in 2012 she appeared on the TV series ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ which was very popular. She has since had her first child earlier this year.
Montanna Thompson (Justine Littlewood)
Originally Montanna was casted for the role of Tracy but then it was decided she did not resemble the character in the book.
She appeared in Lady Sovereign’s Music video for ‘9 to 5’ and has also taken part in events such as Soccer Six. Recently she has appeared in ‘Kill or Be Killed’.
Nisha Nayar (Elaine Boyak)
Also known as ‘Elaine The Pain’ by the children, she was one of the carers in The Dumping Ground.
Since she has starred in multiple films and also appeared in Doctor Who. She is still busy working on filming new stuff all of the time and is currently filming on a British feature film directed by Andrew Tiernan.
Sophie Borja (Roxy Wellard)
One of Tracy’s enemies on the show is now a trained hairdresser and trainee makeup artist.
Ben Hanson (Bouncer)
After the show in 2008 Ben went on to be a CBBC presenter and is also an ambassador for a cancer charity.
