Travis Scott released Astroworld on August 3 and it quickly made its way up to #1 on the Billboard 200 and Artist 100  charts.

According to Nielsen Music, at the end of the week of August 9, Astroworld had received well over 537,000 album units with 270,000 coming from traditional album sales. This week’s chart listed the album as #1 as well as the songs “Sicko Mode” and “Stargazing” on the Hot 100’s top 10 list.

Astroworld is the second-largest week for an album in 2018. Drake’s Scorpion is the first with over 732,000 album units. Currently, Scorpion is trailing behind as #2 on the Billboard 200 chart after spending five weeks as the no. 1 album.

Scott has earned the top spot before with his previous release, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight in 2016. The album spent one week as no. 1 and three weeks overall on the chart.

This is the first time the artist has entered the Artist 100 chart as #1. Last week he owned the 64th spot. The chart measures album and track sales, radio airplay, fan interaction throughout the week.

As if it couldn’t get any better for Astroworld fans who listened to the album religiously since it’s release, Travis Scott shared on social media that he was giving away $100,000 to those who tweeted #ASTROWORLD and their Cash app usernames.

SO I KNOW ITS HARD FOR THE KIDS
SO I DECIDED TO UNLOAD MY BANK ACCOUNT ON U GUYS. IM BUSTING DOWN $100,000 AND GIVING AWAY TO ANY FANS THAT CAN TWEET ME THERE CASH TAG WITH LYRICS FROM ASTRO. GANG !! pic.twitter.com/7o3KlxnTm2

On Twitter, the hashtag #ASTROWORLD rapidly showed up as number 1 by the end of the night. The biggest winner of the night was Twitter user @jacob_panunzi, who swore he’d quit his job and apply for the space force if Travis Scott lends him a hand financially.
