Troye Sivan Appears on the Cover of V Magazine

Troye Sivan posed alongside model Taylor Hill for V Magazine’s September’s fashion and music issue titled “Face the Music”.

Troye wore his signature curly locks, small metal nose ring, and black painted nails to the shoot. We were treated to three exclusive photos of Troye, all shot by Mario Testino. Two feature Troye posing with high-fashion clothing, and one black-and-white photo shows Troye posing with Taylor again.

When asked on Twitter if he felt uncomfortable during the shoot, Troye responded:

In the interview with V Magazine, Troye discusses growing up in Perth and some of his experience with being gay in such an open-minded community. He said: “I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily easy to be different there, but at the same time, I never got bashed up, I never got harassed. I could literally drop everything and go home and have a community waiting for me—the really important things in life are waiting for me there.”

He went on to explain how sometimes he can’t believe his stardom is real, so he has to take a step back and just laugh about his surreal situation. “The fact that everything is happening the way it is, it sends me into giggles. Like, the fact that I woke up last week and was like, Oh, I just need to quickly fly across the country to do a photo shoot with Mario Testino and then fly back to play a show—I don’t know how else to process it but to laugh. Sometimes it feels like I’m in Zoolander. I went to the Billboard Awards, I was backstage, and Rihanna just casually walked by. I was like, What the fuck? Hilarious.”

Troye and Taylor will be at the V Magazine office in New York City on Thursday, August 25th to sign copies of the magazine. Taylor will later host a party at the Flash Factory with a guest performance by Troye Siavn.

The issue will be available on newsstands on September 1st, and is up for pre-order right now.
