Never stop striving to achieve your dreams. Why? Because you never know what can happen if you don’t try. Twenty One Pilots well deservingly received their first top 10 single on Billboard’s Hot 100 with ‘Stressed Out’ off their fourth album Blurryface!
The alternative duo consists of Tyler Joseph (singer) and Josh Dun (drums.) ‘Stressed Out’ went from number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts to number nine this week with an outstanding 159,000 sold.
The single didn’t just get them their first Billboard Top 10, it also managed the band’s song to stay in the top for Billboard’s Hot Rock chart for two weeks. The single is also rising on Billboard’s charts for Radio Songs, Streaming Songs, Pop Songs, Alternative Songs, and Adult Pop Songs.
And just as a small reminder, Blurryface was also No. 1 for its debut on the Billboard 200 last June.
Tyler Joseph said in a Billboard interview last year, “You can’t underestimate the power of a core fan base and people who believe what you’re doing. It doesn’t matter what we post about ourselves on social networks or how many times we play live TV, even. It’s all about those people, those fans who are telling other people about us. I think that’s what we’re seeing more than anything.”
For Twenty One Pilots it’s all about the fans, and that’s just one of the many reasons why we love them so much. When you’re at a Twenty One Pilots show, Tyler and Josh are known for going into the crowd as seen in the photos below, which makes their shows just that much more exciting. By doing something as simple as going into the crowd, they gain a special connection with their fans.
