We love to feature all of your favorite artists, but we also love to highlight lesser known bands and artists. Last week we introduced you to Jamie Scott. This week we’re featuring Scottish rockband Single By Sunday.
Single By Sunday became a band in July 2015. Originally formed by their guitarist Jonny, the band is made up of Josh (vocals and guitar), Jack (bass and vocals), and Jorge (drums and vocals). They have already had incredible success. Capital FM chose Single By Sunday to be Scotland’s best unsigned band. They also performed at the Scottish Music Awards after winning the #CapitalsOneToWatch competition. In addition, they played the main stage at StereoFunk Festival last year.
So far, the boys have released two EPs: Get Up Get Out in 2015, and Atom Bomb in 2016. Both albums feature upbeat, fun songs that characterize their musical style.

2017 looks like it will be just as successful for Single By Sunday. We sat down with the boys to ask them about their future music plans and where they hope to go from here.
Where do you hope to be as a group in a year?
We hope to be doing stadium tours, maybe a first album.

Where do you get your inspiration?
We all kind of take inspiration from different things…we bring all those influences together and have a baby (song).
If you could go on tour with anyone, who would you choose?
Sting, 5 Seconds of Summer, or maybe One Direction. Or Morrissey, because The Smiths are cool.
What music are you currently listening to?
Ed Sheeran and Stormzy.
Do you have any plans for releasing new music anytime soon? A full-length album?
We want to release an album with a label just to reach more people, even though we would do well if we released it now anyway.
Any upcoming shows/releases?
We’re planning a UK tour at the moment, we’re targeting England this year. We’ve done loads in Scotland, and we want to try to sell out as many venues in the UK as possible.
Does pineapple belong on pizza?
No, definitely not.
