Vanessa White has said she can’t see herself returning to The Saturdays.
Speaking to Hunger Magazine, White said “I don’t think I could go back.”
“I’ve got so much that I want to do. There’s no space mentally for me to go back.”
“As time goes on, I know it just wouldn’t feel right for me.”
The British girl group have been on hiatus since 2015 following the release of their greatest hits album ‘The Finest Selection’.
Since the girls took a break to work on their solo careers, each member has gone onto forge their own path in the entertainment industry.
Rochelle Humes has focused on television, presenting shows such as Ninja Warrior UK, This Morning and Xtra Factor.

As well as releasing solo music, her Britney Spears influenced single ‘Back To You’ received rave reviews from fans, Mollie King has moved into the fashion world, creating her own collection for high street store Oasis, titled ‘Loved By Mollie’.
Frankie Bridge took time out to become a Mum to boys Parker and Carter, before focusing on charity work. Bridge took part in 12th series of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, where she finished as runner up to Caroline Flack.
And Irish beauty Una Healy became a coach on The Voice Ireland and at the beginning of the year released her debut solo album ‘The Waiting Game’ on Decca Records.
Over the 3 years since they last worked together, each of the girls have insisted that the band is still together, and would return at some point to release new music.
Vanessa’s comments however, seem to suggest that those plans have now changed.
In her interview with Hunger Magazine, Vanessa also reveals she now has the freedom to express herself in a new way, compared to when she was in The Saturdays.
“I came from a girlband which was very much pop and very different to this, but I’ve always been such an R&B fan.” White explains.
“So I guess for me, it wasn’t even necessarily the music, I wanted to say what I couldn’t before. I was like, ‘f**k this, I am such a sexual person anyway.”
Vanessa has released two EP’s ‘Chapter One’ and ‘Chapter Two’.
Working with new producers PRGRSN, Shakka and Musicman Ty, White has definitely adopted more of an R&B style compared to the dance/pop music she released with The Saturdays.
