Fresh from releasing her latest single ‘Good Good’, Vanessa White has unveiled a stunning shoot for PAPER Magazine.
Dropping yesterday, just in time for International Women’s Day, Vanessa channels her inner Marie Antoinette for the jaw dropping shoot. Shot by British photographer and director Charlotte Rutherford, Vanessa rocks a number of modern high-fashion looks, including a pair of Dilara Findikoglu trousers featuring a beaded ovaries motif, Agent Provocateur lingerie, and Christian Louboutin heels.
As well as this sizzling shoot, Vanessa spoke to PAPER about overcoming the nerves when it comes to fully expressing her sexuality. “I came from a girl band which was very much pop. I wanted to say what I couldn’t say before. I was like fuck this, I am such a sexual person anyway,” she said.
Vanessa’s journey from girlband member to solo star has been one to watch so far. Speaking about embracing the changes in her life, she said: “The kind of thing that I’m doing is so different [to being in the band] I can’t really take anything from that. I’m grateful for it, you do learn a lot of things but I’m happy to start again.”
During the interview, Vanessa also spoke about being a typical Scorpio and the traits that come with it. “How annoying is it when you tell people you’re a Scorpio and they go ‘ooh you’ve got a sting in your tail don’t you?’ It’s like yes I’ve got a fucking sting in my tail if you are rude, if you are evil.”
She also unveiled some of her current influences and collaboration hopes for the future. “I’m obsessed with Ty Dolla $ign and Anderson Paak. I would love to work with them. I’m putting it out there to the universe, Syd, from The Internet and Kehlani. That’s who I’m listening to. That’s literally it.”
As Vanessa continues to show the world the real her, we’re beyond excited to see what she does next. With her Chapter Two EP being released soon, there’s no stopping Vanessa White as she makes a name for herself as the UK’s hottest new RnB star.
