Summer is finally approaching so multi-talented Australian artist VASSY naturally decided it was just the right time to drop brand some new music onto us. The David Guetta-collaborator (her hit song “Bad” is still stuck in all of our heads) has today released her latest track, titled “Somebody New”, and it is just as catchy as the rest of her music.
While her recent releases, such as her collaboration with Afrojack on “Lost”, have seen the artist dive into hard-hitting house music, “Somebody New” actually takes her into another direction. The radio-friendly track starts off with VASSY’s chopped-up vocals which slowly work themselves into a steady deep house beat. “I don’t know how to love somebody new”, VASSY then croons when the chorus starts. A glitchy beat underlines her vocals and gets added to the regular tone of the track.
VASSY’s latest track is a catchy and very infectious anthem. It is light, easy-going and gets stuck in your head. The song is actually perfect for those first warmer summer nights if you ask us.

Don’t forget to also follow VASSY on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram in order to stay up-to-date with her latest release.
“Somebody New” marks not only the singer-songwriter’s first release of the new year but also her musical alliance with another grand dance musician. After having had features with David Guetta, Afrojack, Pitbull, and Tiesto, “Somebody New” sees her first collaboration with Grammy-nominated Canadian duo Sultan + Shepard. Just based on his track, we expect some more great things from VASSY this year.
“Somebody New” arrives via Armada Music and is available for purchase and streaming starting today on the digital retailer of your choice.
