Last year, we introduced you to Aaron Martyn, who made huge waves with his debut single, ‘Slide into my DM.’ Now, the talented artist is back with a brand new single which sees him team up with another incredible rising star.
‘Separate Ways’ is a collaboration between Aaron and Jess Folley, who you may know as the winner of The Voice Kids UK 2017. Written by Aaron, Darren Martyn and Curtis Richardson, with Darren also on production duties, ‘Separate Ways’ is a brooding ballad which sees two lovers contemplating bringing their relationship to an end, before realising that they’re making a big mistake.
The track has a really cool RnB vibe and allows both Aaron and Jess to showcase their incredible talent. Aaron’s slick style complements Jess’ powerhouse vocals perfectly, making this one of the hottest collaborations on the block.
Speaking about the track, Aaron said: “I can’t wait to release this record! It’s been really fun and exciting bringing it all together. Jess was the perfect collaboration for this one”.
Here at CelebMix, we’re delighted to be premiering the official music video for ‘Separate Ways’. The visual is a polished performance piece which highlights Aaron and Jess’ emotion throughout. They are also joined by The Grime Violinist, who gives the instrument a modern twist.
Without further ado, check out the official music video for ‘Separate Ways’ below.
Despite being so young, Aaron has already achieved a great deal in his music career. From racking up thousands of views on his YouTube covers, to joining Eastenders star Maisie Smith on a school tour, Aaron has proven that age is just a number and that his talent knows no bounds.
‘Separate Ways’ is available on iTunes now and forms part of Aaron’s forthcoming EP, From the DM to the DM, which is due for release on May 25.
