As the New Year kicked off it was a rare quiet time for Ward Thomas but fans knew things would get a lot more exciting as during their 2017 UK tour they had teased details of new music, meaning an album was on the horizon.

And as we headed into March, festival dates started being announced by the duo for the summer including a slot at the Cambridge Folk Festival, Never Fade Sessions, the inaugural Black Deer and the Long Rad Festival. The summer also saw them playing on the main stage for the first time ever at the Barclay Card Presents BST Hyde Park show in London. This was a major highlight in the festival calendar for Catherine and Lizzy. July also saw them performing a special intimate show in London at the Omeara as they officially launched their new album ‘Restless Minds’.

As the summer started to kick into high gear, Ward Thomas announced details of their eagerly anticipated third studio album ‘Restless Minds‘. They kicked off promo with the release of their brilliant single ‘Lie Like Me’ in July. This gave listeners a real taste of what to expect from the new record which originally slated for an October 2018 release will now be dropping on February 1st, 2019.

Throughout the next few months the duo started sharing more songs off the LP, including the folky ‘I Believe In You’, pop infused ‘Never Know’ and the sensational ‘No Fooling Me’. During September before the official release of ‘Never Know’ and ‘No Fooling Me’ the girls also played a stellar set at the SkyLine Series in Bristol alongside Imelda May and Texas.

2018 also saw Ward Thomas supporting pop superstar Paloma Faith during a select number of tour dates and in September they performed in Germany meaning their homegrown country tones were starting to get noticed around the globe.

As we headed into October things started to get really exciting for Ward Thomas as they officially announced details of their 2019 UK tour in support of ‘Restless Minds’. The run of dates is their biggest headlining tour to date and will see the paying live across Britain in major cities including London, Cardiff, Manchester and many more.
